TALK DESCRIPTION
Inspired by a brief discussion with David Clarke (ppdassociation.org) at the SIRPA conference, and an Expedition planning seminar at the Royal Geographical Society, Jess (along with her immensely supportive partner, Rick) rented out their flat and formed Liberation Found. Looking into global incidence of Chronic pain and Illness resolution, curious to find the linking structures behind all extraordinary recoveries, and what we can learn from those who did it.

Liberation Found has spent the last seven months on the lookout for unbelievable stories of healing. Are they only unbelievable when we don’t know the possibilities of neuroplasticity? What started as a hypothesis about technique, quickly turned into a study on the qualities of people.
•What did successful cases have in common, from persons with religious experiences, to those who completed western style SIRPA/Curable based work?
•Could we learn from different mindsets, gained from being brought up in different environments?
•Or how do the ‘Eastern’ case studies differ from their ‘Western’ counterparts?

Join us for a CPD discussion, journeying into deepest coldest Nepal to drowning in sweat in the Southern forests of India. You may find the discussion helps you refine your focus on your clients ‘House of Health’ and what rooms may need to be considered for your differing clients. Also, what different solutions may suit some people’s conditions, beliefs and needs.

JESS' BIO
Jess is a Physiotherapist from London who studied at St George’s University. After qualifying, she dove straight into the world of Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedics, Sports and Elderly Care. She became increasingly despondent seeing swathes of NHS and private patients who were not finding any resolution to their pain. All too often treated like ping pong balls, they were being bounced between Physio and Pain Management.

Jess serendipitously stumbled across the SIRPA conference in 2022 whilst scouring the CSP website, anxious she hadn’t completed enough CPD that year. What started as a fortuitous opportunity quickly became the most important meeting she had ever attended. Jess completed her SIRPA training and the idea for a project began to form.
