Join us for our annual weekend of connection, community and SIRPA specific CPD workshops!
Professional development that nourishes you, your practice and your community
Charney Manor, Oxfordshire, OX12 0EJ
Friday 13th Nov - Sunday 15th Nov 2026
*************************
The SIRPA CPD Weekend is so much more than a collection of workshops. It’s an invitation to step out of the busyness of everyday practice and into a supportive, thoughtful space where learning, reflection and connection naturally unfold.
Designed for SIRPA Informed and SIRPA Practitioners, this weekend offers high-quality CPD alongside restorative, nurturing sessions that support both you and your work.

The weekend is led by Georgie and the experienced and dedicated SIRPA Membership Board — practitioners who live and breathe the approach and understand its nuances in real-world practice.
Their depth of experience, shared language and authenticity create a learning environment that feels grounded, relevant and genuinely supportive.
CPD is powerful when it deepens learning, turning existing knowledge into confident, skilful real-world practice.
“Being led by people who truly ‘get it’ and model authenticity helps us all to be more authentic.”
Across the weekend, you’ll take part in a blend of practical workshops and experiential, reflective sessions.
This balance allows learning to be integrated at a deeper level — not just intellectually, but personally.
The programme supports you to:
- deepen your understanding of the SIRPA approach
- explore how to integrate it into your own professional context
- reflect on beliefs, patterns and responses that influence both client work and personal wellbeing
Many participants describe the weekend as feeling retreat-like: spacious, grounding and nourishing, while still offering robust, relevant CPD.
"A really well thought through programme, great mixture of content. I will take so much away with me and filter not only my practice with clients but my own wellbeing and approach to life. Well done SIRPA team!!!"

You’ll be held in a collegial, inclusive space alongside practitioners from a wide range of professional backgrounds.
These cross-disciplinary conversations enrich learning, strengthen professional relationships and reinforce shared foundations of SIRPA-based practice.
There is time to ask questions, share experiences, reflect together and learn from one another — all within a community that understands the complexity of the work you do.
N.B. We will have a Facebook Group for you to join so we can share information in the leadup to the event and this will include a form for you to submit your dietary and room preferences.
"What a privilege to spend a CPD weekend with a group of inspirational, compassionate, wise and wonderful people. I feel filled up and so grateful to be part of the incredible SIRPA community. Keep doing what you are doing everyone, your work is so valuable and important!"

Led by Georgie Oldfield
This session offers a concise and accessible overview of the trauma framework taught within the training, exploring how unresolved trauma can lead to self-induced pressure through learned beliefs, behaviours, and personality traits. Georgie will explain the origins of common traits and triggers, and how they develop as adaptive responses. The session will also introduce a safe, trauma-informed approach to supporting clients by working with the physiological response to unresolved trauma in the present moment, rather than revisiting or processing the trauma psychotherapeutically. This foundational session sets the scene for the workshops throughout the day and clarifies the distinct roles and scope of practice of SIRPA-Informed professionals and SIRPA Practitioners, and how each can effectively support clients using this understanding.
Led by Irralee Andrzejowska and Pippa Cossens
SIRPA is not talk therapy or trauma therapy and most of us are not trained trauma therapists. However, many of our clients, like all humans, have experienced small T and some big T trauma. SIRPA training provides education of up-to-date trauma science so that we can be trauma-informed in our work. This workshop will reinforce our understanding and will include experiential work to cover:
- Understanding how unresolved trauma affects the mindbody and the impact this can have on each individual
- Explanation from lived experience
- Experiential demo and practice throughout the morning of grounding and safety practice to use with clients
- Keeping the client safe
- Keeping the therapist safe
Led by Catherine Pollitt
A gentle dive into the many faulty beliefs, limiting behaviours and personality traits that sit within our subconscious and quietly guide our choices and actions in everyday life — often without our awareness. This session offers a compassionate inquiry into their origins and how they connect with one another, both personally and within our work with clients.
Through reflective and experiential exercises, we will explore what may be holding each of us back, while considering and accepting the truth behind new, more empowering beliefs. From this place, participants will be supported to redefine refreshed commitments that can be carried forward into meaningful positive change — for ourselves and in how we navigate beliefs in client work.
Facilitated Small Group Discussions
Whether you’re curious about how to integrate the SIRPA approach into your existing practice, working with a complex client situation, or exploring ideas to develop your work, this is a supportive space to ask questions, exchange insights and learn from one another. In small groups this is an opportunity to explore the bigger questions that have emerged from the day, share experience across disciplines, and deepen your understanding through conversation.
Led by Zoe Thompson
This will be a practical and experiential session designed to support you in sharing this work more confidently and clearly with the wider world. Through group discussion, reflection on real-world experiences (such as Pain Cafés, community events and exhibiting), and gentle somatic and visualisation practices, participants will explore accessible ways of talking about their work, engaging an audience, and communicating with impact.
The session includes practical tips for presenting and facilitating groups, alongside embodied preparation to help you feel grounded, authentic, and resourced whenever you talk to clients about this approach.
This interactive panel brings together professionals from different disciplines to explore how pre-assessment forms can be used effectively in day-to-day practice. The discussion will look at adapting forms to suit different clients, contexts and professional roles, with practical insights from across professions.
There will be space for questions and discussion, alongside guidance on GDPR, confidentiality and the safe handling of client information, helping you use pre-assessment forms with confidence and clarity.
"A wonderful weekend of connection with so many lovely individuals all championing the holistic approach of mindbody health, whilst also being guided to delve deeper into some topical personal & professional development. Uplifting, informative and forward focused!"
